The Linguistic Bibliography Foundation (Stichting Bibliographie Linguistique) was founded in 2007 in order to facilitate the publication of the Linguistic Bibliography (LB). To achieve this goal, the Foundation:
- enables scholars to use, complete, and update an electronic database of linguistic publications from every country in the world in any language of the world;
- develops and updates an online version of the LB;
- facilitates the publication of an annual print volume of the LB;
- develops digital and printed derivatives.
Board
The LB Foundation Board consists CIPL’s Secretary-General and another three persons elected by CIPL. As of 2020, the Board consists of the following members: Prof. Frieda Steurs (Secretary-General of CIPL), Chair; Dr. J.G. Kruyt, Treasurer, Prof. M. Janse and Prof. A. Lubotsky.
Mr. Jasper Faase represents the National Library of the Netherlands, through which the LB Foundation receives an annual subvention.
Agreement with Brill
The Foundation has agreed with the international academic publisher Brill to publish annual print volumes of LB, as well as to develop and update an online version of the LB. The Foundation facilitates an annual subvention from the National Library of the Netherlands.
