From the 1st of January 2026, there will be a change of mandate at the Swiss Society for Linguistics (SSG/SSL). We are happy to announce that the society will be guided by a new President, Prof. Sandrine Zufferey (University of Bern), and a new Vice-President, Dr. Jérôme Jacquin (University of Lausanne). Dr. Jennifer Schumann (University of Fribourg) will maintain her role of Secretary and Prof. Anita Thomas (University of Fribourg) will continue as treasurer. These changes intend to guarantee diversity and continuity in the leadership of the society. The members of the committee have been confirmed.
Save the date: the 14th Day of Swiss linguistics will be held on 3 June 2026 at USI/Università della Svizzera italiana in Lugano, Switzerland. The organization will be coordinated by Prof. Sara Greco from the Institute of Argumentation, Linguistics and Semiotics, in collaboration with colleagues of the same institute and with colleagues from the Osservatorio linguistico della Svizzera italiana, also with the support of the Centro di dialettologia e di etnografia.
