The selection committee for the CIPL travel grants to international conferences has awarded Fevzudina Saračević from AUE-FON University in Skopje (North Macedonia) a grant to participate in the 3rd Approaches to Digital Discourse Analysis Conference (Adda3), to be held May 13-15, 2022 at the St. Petersburg Campus of the University of South Florida.
Fevzudina will present a paper at this conference titled: ‘It appeared because of the stupid Chinese. They destroyed everything we had.’ Affective and judgmental evaluation of the Chinese in Macedonian internet forum discussions on COVID-19.
The travel grant is € 500. The selection committee consists of prof. Frederick J. Newmeyer, (chair) prof. Eno-Abasi Urua and prof. Jacques Moeschler. A new round of travel grants will be opened in the spring of 2022. CIPL, Comité International Permanent des Linguistes, makes five travel grants available every year.
