The 3rd Kaaps Symposium is organized at the University of the Western Cape, August 2024. Kaaps is one of the oldest ‘languages’ in South Africa. From colonialism to post-apartheid, activists, academics, artists, authors continue to campaign for the empowerment of Kaaps speakers in schools, universities, social life, politics, and the economy of South Africa.
