The SSG/SSL announces that, since 1 January 2023, a new president (Prof Sara Greco, USI – Università della Svizzera italiana) and a new secretary and webmaster (Dr Jennifer Schumann, University of Fribourg) have been elected. Prof Sandrine Zufferey has been confirmed as vice-president, and Prof Ulla Kleinberger as treasurer of the society. We invite all colleagues interested in linguistics in Switzerland to become members and to find more information on our website.
The last Day of Swiss Linguistics took place at the University of Lausanne on 7November 2022. After an online edition during the Covid-19 pandemic, numerous participants participated in this face-to-face event. On this occasion, a new discussion format was inaugurated, which included posters associated to short presentations. Thiws format enabled in-depth discussion among the members. The next edition of the Day of Swiss Linguistics will be held at the University of Neuchâtel in June 2024. More information will be posted on the SSG/SSL website in due time.
